First Lady Simpson’s word of motivation can be found in Psalms 23 and Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy way acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Meet Lashele Yvette Simpson, First Lady
First Lady Lashele Y. Simpson was born and raised in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She and her sister were raised by their mother,
Ms. Liz Collier, a devoted Christian with strong Christian values. Lashele and her sister attended and participated in various
church activities throughout their childhood.

After graduating from Orangeburg Wilkinson High School in 1993, Lashele went on to further her education at Kenneth
Shuler Cosmetology School in Orangeburg, SC. After receiving her license, she worked as a cosmetologist before deciding to
switch career paths and becoming employed at Husqvarna (Flex).
​
God has blessed First Lady Simpson with an awesome husband, Reverend Dr. Malcolm O. Simpson, and two talented
sons, Vinquandrae Hallman and Malcolm A. Simpson, who were also raised in the church.

For the past 15 years, First Lady Simpson has had the privilege to serve alongside Rev. Dr. Simpson as the First Lady in the
following congregations: Greater Saint Stephens AME Church of St. Matthews, SC, Calvary AME Church of Orangeburg, SC.,
Zion Hill AME Church of Pinewood SC, and Felderville AME Church of Santee, SC. Currently, First Lady Simpson and
Rev. Dr. Malcolm O. Simpson is blessed to be the current first family of Mount Olive AME Church of Holly Hill, SC.
