
Rev. Dr. Malcolm O. Simpson
It is Dr. Simpson’s passionate joy to faithfully help others grow in their walk with Christ, connecting them to the rewards that comes from faithfulness to serve our Savior, as it is written in the book of Revelations 2:10: “be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life”.
Meet Reverend Dr. Malcolm Orson Simpson, Pastor
Rev. Dr. Malcolm O. Simpson was born and raised in the small town of Cordova, South Carolina. His parents were devout Christians who raised him, an older sister and younger brother with strong Christian values from a young age. The Simpson children attended church regularly and participated in various church activities throughout their childhood.

After graduating from Edisto high school in Cordova, South Carolina in 1987, Dr. Simpson went on to further his education in higher learning at the following colleges: Allen University of Columbia, South Carolina (BA Degree in Religion) and Payne Theological Seminary of
Wilberforce, Ohio (Master of Divinity). Currently, Dr. Simpson is nearing the completion of the Doctor of Ministry program of Regent University Virginia Beach, Virginia and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from the Disciples of Christ Bible College and Seminary of North Fort Myers, Florida.

The Lord has blessed Dr. Simpson richly with a loving wife, 1st Lady Lashele Yvette Simpson,
two sons (Vinquandrae Dayshore Hallman and Malcolm Austin Simpson) and a God-given
daughter (Precious Monae Williams), along with a loving extended family who shares his
passion for serving the church. Dr. Simpson and Lady Simpson also have been blessed to raise
their children in the church and have the honor and privilege to witness their sons serve as
talented musicians in the House of God.

Dr. Simpson has experienced an impactful civilian career as a Clinical Chaplain for the South
Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. God has also blessed him to serve his country, in the South Carolina Army National Guards, for 21 years; however, his greatest passion has always been his wonderful 21-year career in ministry. For 15 years, Dr. Simpson has had the greatest joy and experience in pastoral ministry and has served as the Pastor of the following congregations: Greater Saint Stephens AME Church of St. Matthews, SC, Calvary AME Church of Orangeburg, SC, Zion Hill AME Church of Pinewood SC, and Felderville AME Church of Santee, SC. Dr. Simpson states, “I can’t say how blessed my wife and I are to be the current first family of Mount Olive AME Church of Holly Hill, SC!”
